She is survived by: her husband Richard Munkus; her daughters, Alice Marie Wages (Larry) of Orlando and Wendy Ann Smitherman of Birmingham; and her grandchildren, Richard Smitherman (Marisa) of Pueblo, Judith Wages of Oregon and Melinda Smitherman of Birmingham. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM.
