It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Lee Sasser (Pelham, Alabama), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clinton Sasser Sr. and Ollie Powers Sasser. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sasser; his children, Clint Sasser (Bobbi), Mary Griffin Lucas (Mark) and Caroline Gray (Dustin); his grandchildren, Jordan Sasser (Natalie), Anna Catherine Sasser, Emma Caroline Sasser, Charlie Reid Sasser, Grant Sasser, Amelia Lucas and Benjamin Lucas; his brother Dr. William Sasser (Susalee); and his sibling's children, Dr. Will Sasser (Caroline) and Carrie Whitaker (Jonny).
