He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Elder; and his stepfather Bobby Martin. He is survived by: his mother Mary Criswell Martin of Jemison; his son Ethan Elder of Hoover; his brothers, Jeff Elder (Kelley) of Mobile and Scott Elder of Montgomery; his stepmother Jackie Elder of Mobile; his siblings' children, Sydney Elder of Mobile, Addison Elder of Montgomery, Jake Elder of Mobile and Noah Elder of Montgomery; his daughter Anna Dryer; his grandson Patrick Dryer of Hoover; and his stepsiblings, Robbie Martin (Callie), Kevin Martin (Michelle), Scotia Robinson (Dennis), Kym Baker (Paul) and Sharyn Kapp (Tim).
