She was predeceased by: her parents, Odelle Garrett Griggs and Rufus Woodrow Griggs; her siblings, Johnny, Douglas "Buddy" Griggs and Kay Rogers (James Kilgore); and her children, Rachel Kilgore and James "Beau" Kilgore.
She is survived by: her husband James Verdo Kilgore Jr.; her children, Memphis, New Orleans and Dru Martinez (Mauricio); her grandchildren, Kaitlin Candelaria (Adrian), Corey Kilgore (Jordan), Alex and Luci Martinez; her great grandchildren, Reese, Bonnie, Eloise, Theo and Emelia; her sister Mavis Chism; and her caregiver Penny Huddleston.
