He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Paul Michael Obert, Sr. and Imogene Salisbury Obert; and his sisters, Catherine Obert and Mary Obert. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Leigh Obert of Nashville, TN, Dr. David Michael Obert (Caroline) of Madison, AL and Dr. John Everett Obert (Sabrina) of Birmingham, AL.; his grandchildren, Madeline Claire Obert and Michael Thomas Obert; his former wife Denise; and his sisters, Elizabeth Obert Hedrick (David) and Jeanne Obert Austin (Tom).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124).
