She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Lavon Carter; her parents, Robert Leland and Edith Odelle Swiney; her sons, Robert Dale Carter and Ricky Allen Carter; and her siblings, Daniel Timothy Swiney, Linda Warren Armstrong and Ronald Patrick Swiney.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph Brian Carter, Randall Keith Carter and Russell Lane Carter. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
