He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara W. Pitts; his parents, Jesse M. Pitts and Agnes J. Pitts; his son Barry Eugene Pitts; and his siblings, Edward W. Pitts and Faye P. Watson.
He is survived by: his daughter Laurie; his grandson Brent Stratton; and his sister Betty J. Sexton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Usrey Funeral Home (516 North St E, Talladega, AL 35160). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Hill Memorial Park (35036 AL-21, Talladega, AL 35160).
