With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Smith Owens of Pell City, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy C. Owens; her son Phillip Curtis Owens; her parents, Jeff R. Smith and Era T. Smith; and her siblings, J. C. Smith, Ralph Smith, Evelyn Johnson and Nell Baumet.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim O. Ledbetter (Rusty) and Jill McMichen; her sisters, Carolyn Sanders and Eleanor Stokes; her grandchildren, Jarred Crump (Tonya), Kendra Stallings (Kyle), Kayla Lauderdale (Josh), Logan McMichen (Sydney) and Kylie McMichen; and her great grandchildren, Mady, Kinley, Blakely and Colson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Usrey Funeral Home (516 North St E, Talladega, AL 35160). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
