He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Gravette and Odessa Gravette; and his sister Angela Phillips Wright. He is survived by: his sons, Tim Gravette (Carolyn) of Lafayette and Coy Gravette of Leesville, Louisiana; and his sister Sharon Mattox (Don) of Owens Crossroads, Alabama. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
