He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee Davis (Bessie Mae Taylor); his wife Dorothy Smith; his granddaughter Jessica Gibson; and his siblings, Burlie Freeman, Martha Brantley and Florence Maddox.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Dukes (Myra) of Cedar Bluff, AL, Bonnie Thomas (Ernie) of Dahlonega, GA and Dottie Townson (Terry) of Henagar, AL; and his sister Louise Troutman (Terry) of Atmore, AL. He is also survived by six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
