She was predeceased by : her husband Rev. Seth Ben Cotton, Jr.; and her daughters, Debra Cotton Spikes of Macon, GA and Denise Cotton Hester (Eddie) of Phenix City, AL. She is survived by : her sister Shirley Sanders of Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Brian Spikes, Jonathan Hester (Gina), Brandon Hester (Tiffany) and Lindsey Gurley (Jody); and her great grandchildren, Madison Hester, Karsyn Hester, Laura Leigh Hester, Dylan Hester, Jaylen Hester, Lucy Gurley, Sadie Gurley, Finnley Hester, Jaxon Hester and Henry Gurley. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Evangel Church (5350 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (4310 N AL-1, Phenix City, AL 36867).
