He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith Tyson and Carrie Pearl Allen; his siblings, Lelia Moore, Joe Coleman, Willie Lipscomb and Charlie James Tyson; and his children, Artie B. Tyson Jr., Ronnie Tyson, Mickey Tyson, Rickey Tyson, Odell Tyson and Mary Nell Golden.
He is survived by: his children, Albert Tyson (Olayinka) of Virginia, Willie Tyson of Kentucky, Vivian Griffin of Phenix City, Catherine Tyson, Affie Tyson, Bernesta Tyson of Columbus, Georgia and Donna Mallory (Ronald) of Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ellis Full Gospel Church (5267 US-80, Opelika, AL 36804).
