She was predeceased by: her parents, Levie Godwin and Annie Lou Galimore-Godwin; her husband Doug Lee; her sister Margaret Woodard; and her brother-in-law Tom Woodard.
She is survived by: her nephew Gerald Simmons (Leslie Posey Simmons); her great-nephews, Jonathan Simmons (Samantha Simmons) and Jeremy Simmons; Harper Simmons and Beau Simmons. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City in Lakewood Hall (3770 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary (3770 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867).
