He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer C Franklin Sr. and Inez Dorman Franklin; his son William C Franklin; and his siblings, Katherine Deliz, Barbara Brown and Homer Carey Franklin Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Katie Annette Franklin; his children, DeRaye Hayes Denise (Andrew) and David (Rhonda); and his siblings, Jack and Becky Sue Kiser. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ladonia Baptist Church (3789 US-80, Phenix City, AL 36870).
