With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elner Ruth Greene of Phenix City, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonie Johnson and Leroy Johnson; her husband Perry Lee Greene Jr.; her children, Parrie Gail Kennedy and James Lee Greene; and her siblings, Betty Tucker, Bobbie Glover and James H. Johnson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jessica Thornton (Michael), Jamie Greene, Alexis Greene, Shaun Kennedy (Dana) and Christopher Kennedy; and her sister Peggy Scott. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
