Evon Eugene Pope Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2025, at the age of 76, Evon Eugene Pope of Phenix City, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Evon departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Evon may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Evon leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Eugene Pope and Irene Hoffman Pope. He is survived by: his children, Lindsay Pope Hood (Kenny) of Phenix City, AL and Brandon Pope of Acworth, GA; his grandchildren, Hudson and Gracelyn; and the mother of his children Tammy Pope. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, National Processing Center, P.O. Box 96764, Washington, DC 20090-6764.
