He is survived by: his sons, Jim Byard, Jr. (Beverly) of Prattville and Jeff C. Byard (Sara) of Prattville; his grandchildren, Marylise Bridges of Prattville, Brooke Byard of Prattville, Kate Byard of Prattville, Caroline Byard of Prattville, James Byard III of Prattville, Richard Byard of Prattville and Zoë Byard of Prattville; his sister Tommie Clegg of Ft. Mitchell; and his nieces and nephews, Sandra and Pat Harrelson. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (613 14th St, Phenix City, AL 36867). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
