In loving memory of James Grimsley (Phenix City, Alabama), who departed this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 76. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Grimsley and Beatrice Grimsley; and his brother Gary Grimsley. He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Grimsley; his sons, Jason, Jody (Jamie), Justin (Brandi) and Derek (Sara); his grandchildren, Austin, Kyndal, Erica, Baylor, Olivia, Caden and Emmy; and his brothers, Kenneth Grimsley (Linda) and Guy Grimsley (Kay).
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (613 14th St, Phenix City, AL 36867). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Life Baptist Church (5289 Ga Hwy 240, Box Springs, GA 31801).
