He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel O. "Pete" Gay and Dianna Moman Gay Hamilton; and his brother DeWayne Gay. He is survived by: his daughters, Kayla O'Neal of Webster, FL and Madison Gay of Columbus; his granddaughters, Gracelyn O'Neal and Jenny O'Neal; his siblings, Kim Scaff of Newnan, Tina Scott of Greenville and Mike Gay of Greenville; and his stepbrother C. J. Nolen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
