She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Wesley Colvin and Estel Mae Jones Colvin; her husband Leonard E. Mitchell; her daughter-in-law Debbie Mitchell; and her brother Paul Potter.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Lance (David) of Salem, AL, Penny Good (Scott) of Smiths Station, AL, Gary Mitchell (Dianne) of Salem, AL, Keith Mitchell (Jeanne) of Phenix City, AL and Rev. Rodney Mitchell (Angie) of Phenix City, AL; her sisters, Suzie Scott (Butch) and Becky Bottoms (Bruce); and her grandchildren, Amy Smith (John Paul), Jenny Scruggs (Tony), Tracy Underwood (Tony), Abby Dewberry (T. J.), Ashley Benvenuto, Hunter Good (Jordan), Peyton Good, John Mitchell (Amelia), Katie Clampit (Jonathan), Shane Blankenship (Kim), Gabie McGonegle (Timm) and Sean Lefranc. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, several extended family members and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Auburn Heights Church (4207 Auburn Rd, Phenix City, AL 36870). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Parkhill Cemetery (4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
