He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rustin; his daughters, Marina McCants (Michael), Sharon Sugimoto, Carole Vance (Jamie), Brandy Denson (Rodney) and Lindsay Long (Tom Green); his grandchildren, Abigail Jimenez (Daniel), Luke Gardner, Levi, Morgan Denson, Ivy Grace Long, Cora, Aspynn McCants, Klayton Parnell and Jade Vance; his former wife Denise Rustin; his sibling's children, Kim Jackson (Keith) and Ty Rustin; his sister-in-law Helen Rustin; and his close friends, Ralph Henderson, Lynn Shelley and Wayne Scarborough. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (3800 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867).
