He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Sparks McCoy and Robie Lee Hollis; his brother Willie Chambers (Sallie); and his siblings-in-law, Theo Barnes, Jesse James, Arthur Lewis, Willie Lewis, Fred Lewis and Charlcie White.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Sparks of Phenix City; his children, Lesia Renae Jackson (Bruce Ford) of Decatur and Reginald Sparks; his grandchildren, Kahlil, Cailyn and Cullen; his siblings, Geraldine Perry (Harry), Tommie Lee Chambers (Brenda), Doug Chambers (Janice), Bernard Chambers (Linda), Audrey Hollis, Robie Lee Jr. (Helen) and June Hollis; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy James, Eloise Barnes and Minnie Lewis.
Viewing was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Phillips Temple C. M. E. Church. A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
