He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Helms and William Helms; his former wife Wendy Helms; his stepmother Ann Helms; his brother Jimmy Tatum; and his aunt Vita Helms.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Helms; his children, Lacey Alexandria Griffin (Allen), Ashley Bozman and Christopher Blake Pease (Alexis); his sister-in-law Jan Tatum; his aunts, Peggy Gresham and Evelyn Helms; his cousins, Mike Ogletree (Debbie) and Monroe Allmond (Pamela); and his grandchildren, Jaxon Tate Pease, Jasmine Pease, Aubree Pease, James Sexton, Hope Sexton, Hunter Sexton and Elyzabeth Sexton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
