It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Gibson Ashton of Phil Campbell, Alabama, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Gibson and Thelma Gibson; her husband Michael "Mike" Ashton, Sr.; her son Ricky Knox, Jr.; and her grandson Ethan Knox.
She is survived by: her children, Brandy Bates (Bill), Jimmy Knox (Mandi), Timothy Ashton (Raven) and Michael Ashton, Jr. (Janna); her sister Ruby Green (Melvin); her brother-in-law Greg Ashton; her grandchildren, Kelsey, Megan, Seth, Brooklyn, Maci, Abby, Colton, Cella, Taylynn, Kallie, Zoie, Hadley, Willow and Lainey; her great grandchildren, Ryland, Brentlee, Baylor, Marlee, JamesMark, Olivia, Axel and Ayden; and her close friend Sharon Sparks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the White Head Hollow (2531 County Rd 3418, Haleyville, AL 35565).
