He is survived by: his wife Charlene McGatha; his daughter Cristen Boles; his grandchildren, Emma and Luke Boles; and his siblings, Martha Jo Sentell, Dianne Green, Debra Winfrey, Kathy Rogers, Sandra Scott, Thomas Matthews (Jewell), Hugh McGatha (Catherine), Jerry McGatha and P. D. Wheeler Jr. (Rebecca). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
