He is survived by: his children, Shayla McKinney of Birmingham and Matthew Stitts of Piedmont; his grandchildren, Jordan McKinney, Edward McKinney, Jaylon McKinney, Jayla McKinney, Matthew McKinney and Malia McKinney; his great grandchild Tatum Weatherspoon; his sister Mary Thompson of Piedmont; his half-sister Zindi Spear of Piedmont; his brothers, Billy Stitts of South Carolina, Vernon Stitts (Alma) of Dansville and Jerry Stitts of Piedmont; the mother of his children Judy Stitts; his aunts, Patrilla Cooper and Jeanette Cooper; and his uncle James Cooper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
