He was predeceased by : his parents, John Taylor and Essie Pearce Taylor. He is survived by : his wife Sylvia Taylor; his children, Duane Taylor, Denise Carpenter (Jay) and Haley Muller (Andrew); his grandchildren, Colton, Kayla, Austin Carpenter, Kyle, Olivia, Wesley, Walker Muller, Cheryl Austin (Rich), Gabrielle Matthews and Charlie Matthews; his great grandchildren, Morrison and Bowie Austin; and his siblings, Rosemary Brazier and Virgil Wayne Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
