He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Malone and Irene Malone; and his siblings, Sam, Doris and Margarett.

He is survived by: his wife Frances J. Malone; his sons, Rick Malone (Pattie), Randy Malone (Lorie) and Richy Malone (Kim); his stepsons, Allen Weldon and Joe Weldon; his grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, Nickie, Katie, Crissy, Zack, Jordon and Brandon; and his siblings, Hilda Haynes (Jim), Ann, Sandra, Jack Malone (Jill) and Joe Malone (Fredia). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Piedmont in his memory.
