He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Rhinehart Bedwell; his parents, Oleus Bedwell and Claudie Nicholson Bedwell; and his siblings, A. J. Bedwell, Doyal Bedwell, Travis Bedwell, Myrtle Stone, Ann Burgess, Alline Rochester and Myrtice Rainey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lea Haynes (Michael) and Leslie Bedwell; his grandson James Haynes; and his sister Elaine Ingram (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
