He is survived by: his wife Cindy Smart; his sons, Tyler Smart, Kevin Kerr and Keith Kerr; his mother Annie Smart; his brother Jason Smart (Ashley); his sister-in-law Stacey Smart; his uncles, Freddie Dempsey and Kenneth Dempsey; and his mother-in-law Brenda Poole. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery (715 US-278, Piedmont, AL 36272).
