She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Eugene and Elsie Coley Coogler; her husband Horace Hames; and her siblings, Hamilton Coogler, Bobby Coogler, Joyce Gould, Jean Espy, Francis Bragg and Diane Ford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Gilmer (Marlin) and Sherry Parker (Neil); her sister Marie Key; and her grandchildren, Marla Harrison (Adam), Preston Parker (Kathryn), Heather Headley (Matthew) and Taylor Parker (Karrie). She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dansby Heritage Chapel (707 Southern Ave, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
