With sadness, we share the passing of Patsy Bates Naugher of Piedmont, Alabama. Patsy, born on February 22, 1949, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Dannie Gene McFry, Mike Naugher and David Warmack; her parents, Walter Bates and Delma Bates; and her siblings, Wanda Bates, Judy Bates Parker and Steve Bates.
She is survived by: her close friend Richard "Steve" Lorren; her children, Cindy Matthews, Ginger Hardiman (Robert), Richie Naugher and Gina Reilly (Tommy); her grandchildren, Mysti Matthews, Michael Matthews, Zachary Matthews, Rachael Hardiman, Matthew Hardiman, Makayla Naugher, Gracie Naugher, Kaley Young and Drew Reilly; and her siblings, Ruth Wilkerson and Danny Bates. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Borden Springs Church of Christ (199 County Road 225, Piedmont, AL 36272).
Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to Piedmont Congregational Holiness Church or Borden Springs Church of Christ.
