She was predeceased by: her grandparents, J. W. and Margie Steed; her great-grandparents, James, Frances McGinnis, Catherine, Joe Martin and Charles Parris; and her aunt Diane Atchley.
She is survived by: her husband Anthony Shoemaker of Piedmont; her parents, Lisa McGinnis Parkerson (Keith) of Hokes Bluff and Terry Steed of Piedmont; her grandparents, Danny and Janet McGinnis of Piedmont; and her pets, Smokey and Buddy. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at the Piedmont Memory Gardens (236 Vigo Rd, Borden Springs, AL 36272).
