He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Spires; and his nieces and nephews, Tony Spires, Sian Childers Rogers, Bryan Childers, Brad Childers, Keith Simpson, Ashley Spires Churm, Conner Childers, Cullen Childers, Ford Childers, Everett Childers and Jerri Leigh Childers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pine Hill Baptist Church (189 Church St, Pine Hill, AL 36769). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Dublin Memorial Gardens (2986 US-80, Dublin, GA 31021).
