In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Roger leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Roger may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pittman and Ruth Annette Sheffield; his son James "Jamie" Roger Sheffield; his stepson Ronald David Hyatt, Jr.; and his sisters, Mary Criswell Taylor and Linda Criswell Etheridge.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Sheffield; his daughter Tessa Sheffield Foote; his stepdaughter Tammy Hyatt King; and his siblings, Billy L. Criswell (Emma) and Jane E. Britt. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home (34550 US-43, Thomasville, AL 36784). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pine Hill Baptist Church (189 Church St, Pine Hill, AL 36769).
