He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Cushman Darden; his parents, Pauline Darden and Loy Darden; and his sister Patricia Ann Darden. He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Darden Stripling (Dennis), Jill Darden Dunn (Wayne) and Christie Darden Gingras; his grandchildren, Spencer Stripling, Parker Stripling, Conner Striping (Lindsey), Casey Dunn Rigg (Caleb), Kelly Dunn Weaver (Donavan), Chandler Gingras (Morgan) and Hagen Gingras; and his great grandchild Addy Mae Gingras.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
