He is survived by: his children, Thomas "Tommy" Alex Melton, Jr. (Sharon), Eric Grady Melton (Kimberly), Susan Gilmore (Jamie) and Victoria Hanes (Jeffrey); and his sister June White. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
