In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy William leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jimmy Cherry and Billie Cherry; his daughter Carol Ann McClendon (Sky); his grandson Caleb; his son Steven Jay Cherry; his daughter-in-law Martha Kathryn Henson (Nathyn); and his grandchildren, Paisley, Presleigh, Paxtyn and Palmer James.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
