He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Bass and Pearl Bass; his son Lamar Bass; his grandson Micallie Will Bass; his children-in-law, Rev. David Hall and Robbie Bass; and his siblings, John Thomas Bass, Sarah Elizabeth Bass, Mae Gant (George), Claude Bass (Loreen), Gerleen and Darwin (D. O.).
He is survived by: his wife Bettye Thornhill Bass; his children, Charlotte Hall, Michael Bass (Tammie), Mark Bass and Michele Goff (Billy Joe); his brother Charles Bass (Iris); his grandchildren, Emily Stewart (Phillip), Daniel Hall (Sarah), MyCale Wilborn (Michael), Micah Bass, Mitchell Bass (LaShauna) and Zachary Goff (Reagan); and his great grandchildren, William, Clinton (Shelby), John David Stewart, Rivers, Cash, Mercy Hall, MyCaiden, MaKenna Wilborn, Abram, Malachi Bass and Levi Goff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
