He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Lee and Edna Courington; his siblings, Looney Courington and Agnes Knight; his grandson Chase Franklin; and his son-in-law Jake McNair.

He is survived by: his daughters, Darbi Courington and Astin McNair; his granddaughters, Jada Jones, Zoei Williams, Briley Hood and Ava McNair; and his siblings, Larry Courington (Shirley), Louie Courington, Lindsay Courington (Terri) and Margaret Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
