He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Edgar, Jr. and Janice Carolyn Cato; and also Scooter Cato. He is survived by: his wife Essie McGaughy Cato; and his siblings, Becky Sharritt (Ramon), Barry Cato (Vicki) and Kevin Cato (Samantha). He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
