It is with sadness that the passing of Steven Edmond Shearer of Pleasant Grove, Alabama is shared. Steven, born on April 22, 1944, passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Shearer and Bessie Mae Shearer; and his sister Alice Faye Gann. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shearer; his children, Kelly Underwood (Chris) and Scott Shearer (Kristi); his grandchildren, Madison Turner (Noah), Christina Underwood, Katie Beth Underwood and Steven Shearer; and his great grandchildren, Hadley Turner and Harrison Turner.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home (1498 5th Ave, Pleasant Grove, AL 35127).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
