It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilburn L Brooks of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Willard Brooks and Mazie Booker Brooks; and his sister Mazie Lou Brooks. He is survived by: his sister Martha Glory Gay; his children, Wilburn L Brooks, Jr. (Deborah), William Brooks (Lori Sheffield Brooks), Mary Jeanette Brooks, Andy Brooks and Randy Brooks (Stacey Roberts Brooks); his grandchildren, Ryan Brooks, Katie Dyson (Benji), Eric Brooks (Melissa), Chris Brooks, Brandon Brooks (Ashley), Chase Brooks, Shanna Brooks and Cody Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Rileigh Mears, Sadie Mears, Skylan Dyson, Hallie Brooks, Houston Brooks, Holden Brooks, Harper Brooks and Hope Brooks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the American Legion.
