He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Bartley and Emma Stone Bartley; his wife Helen Groves Bartley of Virginia; and his brother Danny Bartley. He is survived by : his children, Ronald A. "Ron" Bartley (Meredith) and Debbie Culbreth (Andy); and his brother Dave Bartley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors of Alabama, 515 N Eastern Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36117 in his memory.
