He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Tatum and Gladys Griffith; and his brothers, Horace Tatum, Jimmy Tatum and William Tatum.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Tatum; his daughters, Melody Koorangi (Gholam), Lynn Ashcraft (Mark), Jennifer Anderson (Quinn) and Amy Clackler (Steven); and his grandchildren, Cameron Koorangi (Candace), Whitney Glass (Ben), John Mark Ashcraft, Joshua Ashcraft (Megan), Joshua Clackler (Leah) and Kelsey Clackler. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel (347 E Main St, Prattville, AL 36067). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:15 AM.
