He is survived by : his wife Martha Pate Wirgau; his children, Sarah (Joe), Rebekah (David), Rachel (BJ), Anna (Andrew), David, Lydia (Leander), Leah (Cliff), Jonathan and Benjamin (Emily); his sisters, Naida Wirgau Bruder and Lisa Wirgau; and his grandchildren, Miles, Jace, Aisley Aber, Elijah, Gracie, Mackenzie Joy Chandler, Layla, Isabelle, Josiah, Caleb Pendleton, Abraham Dailey and Shedd. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dave Wirgau Legacy Fund for Navigators World Missions in his memory.
