She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Grimes and Nancy Haynes Grimes; her husband James Wesley, Sr.; and her siblings, James Grimes and Dorothy Grimes Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, James Wesley, Jr. (Terri), John Wesley (Laurie), Timothy Wesley (Laura) and Sandra Kamena (Gene); and her sister Shelby Stacy. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Brookside Memorial Gardens (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054).
