He was predeceased by : his parents, Bobbie Jernigan Shirley and Eugene Shirley. He is survived by : his wife Judy Shirley; his children, Leighann S. Faulkner (James) and Beth S. Spiker; his siblings, Nancy Jinright, Ronnie Shirley (Lynn), Debbie Townes (Chris) and Jan Judkins (Brian); his grandchildren, Hailey Allen (Zach), Abigail Faulkner (Aaron), Natalie Faulkner, Karley Boley and Bailee Spiker; and his great great grandchildren, Ava, Tatum, Ryder, Leo, Lilly, Charlotte, Isabella, Jaiden, Niylah, Sofia and Jasiah.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel (347 E Main St, Prattville, AL 36067). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
