She was predeceased by : her parents, John Edgar Woods and Myrtle Elizabeth Woods; her brother Kenneth Earl Wood; her sister-in-law Mary Wood; her friend Jackie Wood; and her brothers, John Edgar Jr. and Edwin Wood.

She is survived by : her husband Raymond Broach; her daughter Patricia Broach Uptagrafft (Craig); her grandchildren, Morgan Craig Uptagrafft and Benjamin Ray Uptagrafft; her nephew Randy Wood; her great-nephew Dewayne Wood; her great-niece Tonya Martin; and also, Randy, Gage and James.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel (347 E Main St, Prattville, AL 36067). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“Mrs. Broach taught 5th grade at Daniel Pratt Elementary from the day the school opened. She was one of the kindness, understanding, and sweetest teachers there. She loved her students and they loved her right back. I worked along side her as the first principal of the school. As student placement began, it was of great trust to put students in her class. She was certainly an outstanding teacher and a sweet friend. Gail Robertson——”
