It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Crenshaw (Prichard, Alabama), born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Weaman Douglas; her husband Roy Edward Crenshaw; her son Charles; her siblings, Deloris Rice, Ruth Mae Williamson and William Hale; and her sisters-in-law, Robin Hale and Sandra Crenshaw.
She is survived by: her sons, Carl (Sonia) of Eight Mile, AL and Vincent (Betty); her grandchildren, Carl Jr. (Savannah), Taylor, Blake, Whitney, Tate, Chanelle and Kristina; her siblings, Eloise Knox of Oakland, CA., Archie Hale (Emma) of Fayetteville, GA, Joann Harris (William) of Mobile, AL, James Hale (Linda) of Fayetteville, NC, Jimmie Hale (Pat) of Mobile, AL, Barbara L. Dixon of Mobile, AL and Lee Roy Hale of Chesapeake, VA; and her in-laws, George (Betty), Zelmer, Theodore of Annie Jean, MD, Robin Williams, MD and Delores Whitfield of Mobile, AL.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Taylor Chapel C. M. E Church (910 Dunlap Cir, Prichard, AL 36610). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Taylor Chapel (910 Dunlap Cir, Prichard, AL 36610). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery (34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36577).
